Micah
Micah is from Wichita, KS and attended Eisenhower High School. He was involved in student council, national honor society and played soccer throughout high school. Micah lost his mother, Tiffany, in 2019 to melanoma. Micah remembers his mom through many memories, some include instances of them cooking in the kitchen together. Micah is attending John Brown University to pursue a mechanical engineering degree and hopes to later pursue a career in biomedical engineering. His goal is to help develop healthcare equipment that may help other families detect cancer in their loved ones more quickly, resulting in better cancer survival rates.
Samuel grew up in Sedalia, Missouri, attending Sedalia Smith-Cotton High School. He was a member of the marching band, national honor society and participated in many varsity sports including baseball, basketball and track. Samuel lost his father in 2016 to prostate cancer. Members of Sam’s community shared that Sam is selfless, hardworking, authentic and is a leader both academically and in the community. He is attending the University of Notre Dame to pursue a degree in Biology or Chemistry, following a pre-medical track to later become a medical doctor. Sam’s goal is to become a doctor and is considering specializing in Osteopathic Medicine, he would like to serve a community in a rural area, similar to where he grew up.
